Thank you for your interest in commissioning an original artwork by Leanne Bishop.

A select number of private commissions are accepted each year to ensure every piece meets the highest artistic and archival standards.

REFERENCE PHOTOGRAPHY

High-quality reference images are essential to achieve the hyper-realistic detail Leanne is known for.

Image Requirements:

• Sharp, in-focus photographs

• Natural lighting preferred (no harsh flash)

• Clear detail in the eyes and facial features (if portrait)

• Subject fully visible, not cropped

• Minimum file size: 2MB recommended

Not Accepted:

• Blurry or pixelated images

• Screenshots from social media

• Images taken in low light

• Heavily filtered or edited photos

• Composite requests combining multiple unrelated low-quality images

If sufficient reference images are not available, the commission may be declined.

Copyright & Photographer Permission

Collectors must either:

• Own the copyright to the reference image(s), or

• Provide written permission from the professional photographer granting authorization for the image to be used for a commissioned artwork.

If the reference image was taken by a professional photographer, written consent must be submitted prior to approval.

Leanne Bishop does not create artwork from copyrighted images without proper authorization.

Failure to provide permission (if required) will result in the commission being declined.

ARTISTIC DIRECTION & BOUNDARIES

To maintain the integrity and evolution of her portfolio, Leanne selectively accepts commissions that align with her signature style and subject matter.

Currently Accepting:

• Horses

• Select wildlife

• Emotionally meaningful portrait work (reviewed case-by-case)

• Pieces that reflect realism, legacy, or timeless storytelling

Not Accepting:

• Group portraits with multiple complex subjects (unless pre-approved)

• Highly stylized or cartoon interpretations

• Heavy background scenes unless artist-approved

• Replicas of other artists’ work

• Alterations of copyrighted images

• Graphic, violent, or controversial subject matter

All compositions, cropping, and artistic interpretation remain at the discretion of the artist.

INVESTMENT & RESERVATION

By submitting this form, you acknowledge:

Minimum commission investment begins at $1,500 CAD (16 x 20 inches). Final investment is determined by size, subject complexity, and composition.
A non-refundable 50% retainer is required to reserve your place. The remaining 50% balance is due prior to shipment.
Commissions are not considered booked until the retainer is received.
Due to the limited number of annual commissions, retainers are non-transferable.
Estimated completion timelines will be discussed upon acceptance.
Upon acceptance of the commission, a formal Commission Agreement outlining scope, timeline, usage rights, and payment terms will be provided for review and signature prior to commencement.

Leanne reserves the right to decline any commission that does not align with her artistic direction or quality standards.
