About

*PLEASE NOTE: This module is included in the complete Realism Revealed: A Beginner’s Guide to Hyper-Realistic Drawing course (labelled as Lesson 5). If you have already purchased the full course, you already have access to this content and do not need to purchase this module separately. _ _ _ In this module, you'll learn how light creates form and dimension and then apply those principles to a guided sphere shading exercise. Part 1: Studying Light - Learn how to recognize the key elements of light and shadow, from highlights and midtones to core shadows and reflected light. Understanding how light interacts with your subject is essential for creating convincing depth, contrast, and three-dimensional form in your drawings. Part 2: Shading a Sphere - Put your understanding of light into practice by creating a realistically shaded sphere using charcoal. This exercise will guide you through building smooth value transitions and accurately placing light and shadow to create the illusion of three-dimensional form—a fundamental skill that can be applied to more complex subjects. A quick note: You may hear references to Luvlee Art throughout this course. Luvlee Art was the original name of my art business and has since become Leanne Bishop Art. While my name has changed, the lessons and techniques taught throughout the course remain the same.
